SLCPD Awards Honors During 32nd Annual Police Gala

May 21, 2012May 18, 2012 — The Salt Lake City Police Department this evening awarded top honors in its annual Student Art Contest, top honors for which went to students from East and West High Schools.
Thank you to 94 students who entered this year’s contest and congratulations to the following top entries (two winners in each category):
This is the first year in which the contest culminated with an art opening during the monthly downtown Gallery Stroll. The artwork, which will be adapted for use in a public awareness campaign about the consequences of drug use and abuse, will remain on display through the end of the month.
Thank you to the Salt Lake City Police Foundation and the Art Institute of Salt Lake City, community partners who made this year’s contest possible. Look for fliers announcing the 6th annual SLCPD Student Art Contest during the first month of school in the fall.
