Runners Take Their Marks at 8AM Saturday for Hot Pursuit 5K

October 21, 2012 — In an annual tradition, the Salt Lake City Police and Fire Departments, SLC911 and the Police Mutual Aid Association will open the doors of the Public Safety Building, 315 E. 200 S., for an annual Halloween party from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, October 31.
Children with an accompanying adult are invited to wear their best costumes while trick-or-treating at the PSB, which will host a variety of candy stops with:
- Police Chief Chris Burbank
- Fire Chief Kurt Cook
- Police and fire vehicles
- SWAT
- K-9
- Motors
- Bomb Squad
- Volunteer Corps
- Pioneer and Liberty Patrol officers
- And more!
In addition, the PMAA will host a spook alley; the Bug Lady — Christy Bills of the Natural History Museum of Utah — will bring bugs and bats; Earthwings will bring birds of prey; and Utah Jesters will be on hand to make balloon animals.
This event is free and open to the public.
Tips for a Safe Halloween: Carry a flashlight and travel in a group. Make sure adults accompany children at all times. Never enter a stranger’s car or home.
