SALT LAKE CITY— The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a 34-year-old woman whose body was found in a local hotel earlier this morning.

After responding to a call from hotel management, officers arrived at the scene, 154 W. 600 S., at approximately 9:12 a.m. and secured the scene.

Homicide investigators responded to investigate the suspicious death. The woman’s identity will be released once detectives notify her family.

The State Medical Examiner has assumed custody of the body and will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of her death.
