SALT LAKE CITY— “Chill with a Cop,” the summertime version of the Salt Lake City Police Department’s monthly outreach program, stops by the Sunday Anderson Westside Senior Center, 868 W. 900 S., Thursday afternoon.

Officers will serve up popsicles while talking about public safety issues from 1-3 p.m. at the center. Sunday Anderson Westside Senior Center provides nutrition, wellness and informational services, as well as opportunities for learning, socializing, and community involvement, to seniors 60 years of age and older.

“Chill with a Cop” is part of a monthly outreach program that seeks to break down barriers and create a relaxed, one-on-one interaction between police officers and the public.
