SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks the public’s help to identify and locate a homicide suspect.

At approximately 1:20 a.m. (MDT) Sunday, November 2, 2014, a male white adult entered the 7-Eleven at 1157 W. California Avenue. After an argument, the suspect shot and killed 29-year-old clerk Jamie Blalack, then fled the scene.

The 29-year-old male clerk’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

Suspect description:

  • male white adult
  • 5 feet 7-9 inches tall
  • long brown hair, worn up in a bun at time of incident
  • dark coat
  • blue jeans
  • black and white tennis shoes
  • armed and dangerous
