Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown and Mayor Ralph Becker invite media representatives to join them on Tuesday, July 28 at 10:45 a.m. in the courtyard behind Spy Hop, 511 W. 200 South, to hear about new approaches and programming to help address public safety issues in the 500 West/Rio Grande area.

The Chief and Mayor will be offering details on a number of new strategies and evolving efforts focused on drug dealing and related crime, area patrols, dedicated caseworkers, connecting those with chemical/alcohol dependency issues with appropriate medical help, recent changes and enhancements by area social service providers and more.
