SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department asks the community’s help in identifying and locating a suspect in at least one bank robbery earlier this afternoon.
At approximately 4:50 p.m. today a man entered the Key Bank at 1500 S. Foothill Drive, approached the teller and demanded money. The man was wearing a mask as depicted in the images above. The teller complied and the robber exited the bank and fled westbound on foot. No weapon was seen and no one was injured.
Please look at the images for suspect description. He was light skinned, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, medium build.
The bank robbery was the 3rd such robbery in the county this afternoon, all about an hour apart. A disguised or masked suspect was a factor in all three. In view of the timing and similarities of the robberies, law enforcement agencies are working collaboratively on the three incidents.
DO NOT APPROACH. The Police Department asks anyone who may know the identity and/or location of this suspect to call (801) 799-3000. Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637. Please start your text with TIPSLCPD, which routes it to the police department. Then include any relevant information. Reference: case #15-213784.
