SALT LAKE CITY—The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks help to identify and locate the dump truck and driver involved in a collision that killed a bicyclist.
Last week, Wednesday, October 28, 2015, bicyclist Anthony Johnson was riding north on Redwood Road at 200 South, nearing the I-80 eastbound on-ramp. At the same time a dump truck pulling a trailer was also traveling north and made a right turn onto the eastbound I-80 on-ramp. Bicyclist Johnson was struck by the rear trailer and sustained fatal injuries. The dump truck driver continued east on I-80 and may not know he was involved in this tragic accident.
We request community support to identify this dump truck. The truck was on 500 South prior to making the left turn onto Redwood Road from 400 South. If you have any information on the dump truck, the trucking company or if you witnessed the event, please contact the Salt Lake City Police Department.
