SLCPD Community Connection Center Open House and Tour

SALT LAKE CITY — In a continuing effort to provide access to services and treatment, the Salt Lake City Police Department’s Community Connection Center is hosting an open house and tour today to highlight the expansion of space and interact with service providers. The Community Connection Center (CCC) partners law enforcement and social work together to provide the best outcome for the citizen in crisis. The CCC is dedicated to providing a safe place where people can access individualized care, support, and appropriate community services.

Staff will be on hand to introduce you to the services they provide, to give tours of the facility, and answer questions.

Parking is limited, so we encourage the use of public transportation. Light refreshments will be served.

Law enforcement personnel across the state have increasingly become the first responders to individuals in serious mental health and/or substance use disorder crises. Since responding to these calls are a significant part of policing today, a non-traditional law enforcement approach was adopted by the department to assist officers with alleviating some of those more complex and challenging situations.
