SLCPD Search Evanston Landfill for Evidence Related to Homicide

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police sent about 20 officers to the Uinta County Landfill near Evanston Wyoming, following up on tips related to the homicide that occurred on Monday May 7. Officers conducted a coordinated search of the landfill in hopes of locating evidence related to the investigation. There were over 250 staffing hours dedicated to the search of the landfill. Evidence was recovered, the nature of which cannot be disclosed at this time.

The Salt Lake Police Department would like to thank the Uinta County Landfill, the Evanston Police Department, the Uinta County Sheriffs Office, and the Wyoming State Police.
