SLCPD, FBI Arrest Accused Serial Bank RobberSALT LAKE CITY — Today, the Salt Lake City Police Department arrested 26-year-old Krishan Singh who is accused of robbing three financial institutions in the city within a five-day period.
SLCPD officers responded and started looking for the suspect. The FBI and detectives with the SLCPD Robbery Squad also responded to assist with the investigation. At 2:41 p.m. on November 1, 2022, SLCPD detectives and FBI agents found Singh near 500 West 200 South. Singh fought with law enforcement before being taken into custody. There were no reported injuries. Detectives will book Singh into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on two counts of Aggravated Robbery and one count of Robbery. Charges are only allegations, and every arrested person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The Salt Lake City Police Department is not the custodian of record for jail booking photos. Utah Code 17-22-30 mostly prohibits the release of jail booking photos. Generally, a jail booking photo can only be released by the custodian of record after a conviction or when law enforcement determines the person is a fugitive or an imminent threat to a person or public safety. In Salt Lake City, the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office is the custodian of record for jail booking photos. A photo from the scene of Tuesday’s robbery is being released. There is no other information available to release at this time.
