SLCPD Pioneer Patrol Officers Arrest Six People During Stratified Policing MissionSALT LAKE CITY — Today, under the leadership of a Salt Lake City Police patrol sergeant, six officers assigned to the Pioneer Patrol Division arrested six people in an effort to help reduce crime and enhance the quality of life along the North Temple corridor. “I am very proud of the work being done to address crime throughout our city,” said Chief Mike Brown. “Our officers are investing a significant amount of time and resources listening with community members to identify concerns and then to quickly act upon this to make our community safer. Our commitment to helping the community feel safe is never-ending.” This operation started at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 and lasted approximately one hour. Officers focused their efforts along the North Temple Corridor from 800 West to 1700 West. Officers booked the following people into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail: ● 29-year-old Cruz Martin – Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and multiple, active warrants ● 31-year-old Lea Adamson – False Information of an Actual Person and Possession of a Controlled Substance ● 37-year-old Danielle Allred – multiple, active warrants ● 37-year-old Anthony Brickhouse – multiple, active warrants ● 42-year-old Jack Lamb – multiple, active warrants ● 43-year-old John Lloyd – multiple, active warrants
As of March 19, 2023, overall crime in Salt Lake City is down 21% year-to-date. In the Pioneer District, which includes District 1 and District 2, overall crime is down 37% and 28%, respectively, year-to-date. Photos of the operation are being released. Media may use these photos with proper credit to the Salt Lake City Police Department. Charges are only allegations, and every arrested person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The Salt Lake City Police Department is not the custodian of record for jail booking photos. Utah Code 17-22-30 mostly prohibits the release of jail booking photos. Generally, a jail booking photo can only be released by the custodian of record after a conviction or when law enforcement determines the person is a fugitive or an imminent threat to a person or public safety. In Salt Lake City, the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office is the custodian of record for jail booking photos.
