SLCPD Seeks Help Identifying Suspect in Convenience Store RobberySALT LAKE CITY — Robbery detectives with the Salt Lake City Police Department are asking for help identifying a man who used a gun during a convenience store robbery. Two photos of the suspect are being released. This investigation started at 10:07 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, when SLC911 received a call about a robbery near 800 East 400 South. Officers arrived and learned the suspect entered the store, displayed a gun, and demanded money. Officers checked the area but did not find the suspect. There were no injuries reported during the robbery. Officers believe the suspect left the area on foot. The suspect is described as being a man between the age of 17-25 years-old, 5′ 5” tall, 150 pounds, with a medium build and was last seen wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call 801-799-3000 or submit an anonymous tip using the City Protect App and reference case number 24-23171.
