SLCPD Investigating Stabbing, 1 Person Critically InjuredSALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating a stabbing in the Greater Avenues neighborhood that critically injured one person. This investigation started around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024, when SLC911 received information about a person stabbed at 1st Avenue and North C Street. Officers arrived on scene and found a 32-year-old man with a stab wound. Gold Cross Ambulance and paramedics with the Salt Lake City Fire Department took the man to the hospital in critical condition. Detectives believe the stabbing occurred during a fight and attempted burglary. This stabbing appears to be isolated and those involved likely know each other. No arrests have been made.
