SLCPD Rolls Out Free Stroller, Bike Trailer Registration Program

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department (SLCPD) is now offering free stroller and bicycle trailer registration in addition to its bike registration program.

The goal of this program is help ensure lost or stolen property can be returned, if found.

Each year, the SLCPD stores unclaimed bikes, strollers, and bicycle trailers which are stored in accordance to department policy as unclaimed property.

The SLCPD now offers the opportunity for community members to register bicycles, bicycle trailers, and strollers.

Registering your bike, stroller, or bike trailer is an important step in protecting your property.

These items are valuable and often targeted in thefts.

Registration with the SLCPD helps our officers, detectives, and professional staff quickly identify ownership if the items are lost or stolen and increases the chances of recovery.

The process is free and takes just a few minutes.

This is a simple way to add an extra layer of protection and peace of mind.

The option to register strollers and bike trailers—along with bicycles—was introduced by the SLCPD’s Central Patrol Division command staff after recognizing an increase in stroller thefts and identifying a need for better recovery efforts.

You can register your stroller and bicycle trailer by clicking on this link: police.slc.gov/bike-registration or scanning the QR code in the flyer below.
