Free coffee when you talk to an officer Thursday from 8-10 a.m.

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department wraps up its first year of “Coffee With A Cop” with a Thursday morning stop at Red Moose Coffee Company, 1693 S. 900 E.

Red Moose will offer a free cup of regular coffee to anyone who speaks with an officer from 8–10 a.m. Community Intelligence Officers will be on hand to discuss crime trends and answer questions the public may have about public safety in the neighborhood or in general.

A collaborative effort to solve public safety issues at the neighborhood level, “Coffee with a Cop” is a monthly community outreach effort supported by Salt Lake City, Local First Utah and the Downtown Alliance.
