March 19, 2015: Free coffee, conversation 8-10 a.m. at the Coffee Garden.

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department will be at the Coffee Garden, 878 East 900 South, this Thursday, March 19, and we encourage community members to meet with us. Spring is in the air and the season may generate questions/suggestions you may have about crime, the nature of community policing, or upcoming community events in your area including ideas to help improve your neighborhood.

The Coffee Garden will offer a free cup of coffee to anyone who wishes to interact with us from 8-10 a.m. Community Intelligence Officers will be on hand to answer questions about crime trends and public safety issues in your neighborhood or anywhere.

“Coffee with a Cop” breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction between police officers and community members, one cup of coffee at a time. For information about hosting this monthly event, please send an email to coffeewithacop@slcgov.com.
