Chief Burbank made announcement during Slut Walk SLC 2014

SALT LAKE CITY— During his address at Slut Walk SLC earlier today, Chief Chris Burbank announced that Salt Lake City will take part in a new study of sexual assault investigations in partnership with the Police Executive Research Forum and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women:

“Salt Lake City is going to be one of four cities in the nation that will have this group come in, review how we handle, specifically, sexual assault [investigations], determine what we do right, and what we do inappropriately, and what we can do better, and establish best practices for the entire nation on how we handle sexual assaults.”
