Alert: Suspects targeting the Downtown, Avenues areas of Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY—The Salt Lake City Police Department asks for the public’s help to identify and apprehend suspects breaking into secured parking structures in the Downtown and Avenues neighborhoods.

Three male suspects were captured on surveillance video breaking into the secured parking areas of the Brigham Street Apartments between May and July 2014. Detectives have tied the men, driving the same vehicle, to as many as three cases.

Targeting bike storage units within apartment complexes, the thieves have stolen several bikes and tools and damaged property.

The suspects, according to witness accounts and video surveillance, drive a blue Ford Focus, hatchback, partial Utah plate #D255AE.
