SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks the public’s help to identify and locate the suspect in a stabbing that occurred last Friday near the homeless shelter.

At 6:30 p.m. October 24, 2014, the suspect confronted the victim on the street, near 235 S. Rio Grande St., and they argued about a debt. The suspect stabbed the victim in the chest and then left the scene in a maroon SUV, driven by a white female.

The police department releases the above photos of the suspect and the getaway vehicle today in hopes that the public may recognize the suspect. Suspect description:

  • male white adult
  • approximately 25 years old
  • 5 feet 8 inches tall
  • blond hair and a goatee
  • wearing a gray t-shirt and jeans

The Police Department asks anyone who may know the identity or location of this suspect to call (801) 799-3000. Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637.
