May 23, 2016The Salt Lake City Police Department is requesting the public’s help to identify the robbery/burglary suspects in the video below.
On Monday, April 25 at about 10:00 am, two men entered the Chegoya Market at 202 South 900 East. One of them beat a store employee as the other man took cigarettes. Both suspects then fled.
Three days later on Thursday about 10:30 am the same suspects broke into the same store by forcing their way through a back entrance and then stole cigarettes, candy, and beer.
And then on Wednesday, May 5th they returned and committed another burglary of the business.
The video first shows the initial robbery/beating and then a burglary three days later with the suspects dressed differently.
Suspect #1 Description:
- Hispanic or Pacific Islander male
- In his teens or early 20’s
- Thin build
- Short black hair
Suspect #2 Description:
- Pacific Islander male
- Teens or early 20’s
- Heavy build,
- Black afro style hair
The Police Department asks anyone who may know the location of this person of interest to call (801) 799-3630. Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637.
