September 30, 2016SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred yesterday where a student brought brownies laced with marijuana to Lincoln Elementary school. Seven students were given the brownies knowing they were laced with marijuana. Two students had to be hospitalized and remain in the hospital. The two students at the hospital tested positive for THC.
Lincoln Elementary school sent out a letter today to parents advising them of the incident. The student told detectives she brought the brownies from home and gave them to other students while at school.
Detectives have interviewed the parents of the child and the investigation is on-going.
