SLCPD Looking for Man Who Ran Away From Officers
SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is seeking assistance locating a man after he ran away from officers, which prompted a brief SLCPD SWAT call-out.
This investigation started at 10:07 a.m. on Tuesday January 4, 2022, when officers responded to 4850 West 150 South to arrest 27-year-old Julian Nordahl, who is wanted on felony-related charges.
When contacted by officers, Nordahl ran away. Officers chased Nordahl to a nearby motorhome where they suspected he had entered.
Responding officers quickly arrived and contained the area.
The SLCPD SWAT Team, crisis negotiators and social workers responded to the scene to aid in a peaceful resolution.
Officers made multiple attempts to contact Nordahl at the motorhome but there was no response.
In consultation with the SLCPD SWAT Team, negotiators, and social workers, the on-scene incident commander ended the police response at approximately 12 p.m. for the safety of everyone involved.
No injuries were reported during this incident.
At this time, officers do not consider Nordahl a danger to the public.
This remains an ongoing investigation. No further details can be publicly released.
Anyone with information regarding Nordahl’s whereabouts should call 801-799-3000 and reference SLCPD case 22-1827.
Two photos taken on scene are being released.
Members from the SLCPD Public Relations Unit responded to the scene to provide media regular updates about the situation.
