SLCPD Citywide Public Safety Enforcement Effort Results in 22 People Being Arrested
SALT LAKE CITY — As part of the Salt Lake City Police Department’s (SLCPD) ongoing efforts to reduce crime and help ensure community safety, officers arrested 22 people.
“This isn’t a one-time push,” said Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown. “This is the work our officers are doing—and have been doing—every single day of the year. Our officers are out enforcing the law and building stronger relationships with our community, and I’m proud of their work.”
The 22 arrests reported mostly occurred on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Some cases may have originated January 31, 2025, or extended into February 2, 2025, depending on the time of arrest and jail booking processing times. As a result, this count may not represent an exact 24-hour period but reflects overall enforcement efforts on February 1, 2025.
These arrests include people suspected of violent offenses, drug-related crimes, and property-related offenses.

· Officers also arrested people accused of disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and pedestrian right-of-way violations.
Charges are only allegations, and every arrested person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
The Salt Lake City Police Department is not the custodian of record for jail booking photos. Utah Code 17-22-30 mostly prohibits the release of jail booking photos. Generally, a jail booking photo can only be released by the custodian of record after a conviction or when law enforcement determines the person is a fugitive or an imminent threat to a person or public safety. In Salt Lake City, the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office is the custodian of record for jail booking photos.
