Bike Safety Rodeos
Bike Safety Rodeos are designed to help educate riders about riding bicycles in the city. The Salt Lake City Police Department has held many Bike Safety Rodeos over the years for the residents of Salt Lake City. These rodeos are certainly a great benefit to children. They constitute a fun and exciting learning event about bike safety. We encourage and invite participation in our Bike Rodeos and enjoy conducting them for the kids.
The focus of the Bike Safety Rodeo program is to increase rider safety and awareness for bicyclists in the city. As such children must already have basic bicycle riding skills. As an essential requirement to participate we ask that children be old enough to ride a bicycle without training wheels. Please understand, safety is our number one concern. If children aren’t able to ride unassisted they may be asked to not participate.
We will be holding Bike Safety Rodeos throughout the city in order to make these events more available to those interested. These events will be open to the public. Children are welcome to bring their own bicycles and equipment or they can use the bicycles and equipment we will bring along with us.
We look forward to seeing you at our events!
